News From My  Family:

My name is Lizzie and I would like to introduce my new family.  There is my dad, Al, my mom, Dianna and two of my sisters, Ginger and Cheyenne.  I have two other sisters, Sophie and Sami, but they didn’t want to participate in the family photos.  Cheyenne and I play together by chasing each other around the back yard or by wrestling in the house.  Cheyenne knows that she is a lot bigger than me and is gentle with me when we play.  I have learned where the toy box is and my mom says it is like having a toddler around the house.  I leave toys everywhere. I have learned to fetch the ball and take it back to my mom. I have a doggie door that didn’t take me long to learn and I enjoy being able to go outside whenever I want.  I get to sleep on the big bed with mom, dad and Sami.  Sometimes Ginger joins us.  I am learning the swimming pool rules and my dad is going to teach me how to swim and how to get out of the pool.  I am loved very much and very spoiled.  I love my new family.  They are the greatest!

I wish to thank my foster parents, Rory and Colleen, for giving me a loving home while I was waiting for another loving family to give me a permanent home.

For anyone considering adopting a handicapped dog, remember we don’t know we are handicapped. With patience, we can learn and we have a boundless amount of love to give.

My Ideal Companions:

Ideal companions should mind my getting under your feet. I love company, and being visually impaired, (the vet says I have a little vision in both eyes), my way of staying in touch with you, is to be as close as possible when you are walking. Since I am not sure what direction you might want to go, I figured if I stay right under your feet, that way I will not let you go.

My Perfect Home:

I think Lizzie would appreciate a back yard to run around in. She does love company, and greets you like a long lost relative every time you come in the front door.
